Description
Private Raymond Wedgeworth, left, whose life was saved by blood plasma after being wounded, pointing to a poster at the Red Cross Blood Plasma Center which depicted how he received the plasma. Other veterans who also were saved by plasma are, left to right, Private John Langley (on crutches), who lost a leg in Normandy, France; Sergeant Warren Cowen (in wheel chair), who lost both legs on New Britain, Papua New Guinea; and Sergeant Ambrose Elrod, who lost a hand while fighting in the Admiralty Islands. The veterans are all wearing their military uniforms. The poster reads "He gave his blood...Will you give yours?"
