    Elbert B. Hanna right, 47, was named manager of Blackstone Hotel. With him is Joe O'Keefe, center, and an unidentified man on the left. Mr. Hanna is wearing a double breasted suit. Mr. O'Keefe is dressed in a seersucker suit with a bow tie. The third man, left, is wearing a dark-colored single-breasted suit. They are standing in front of a world map and a wire reinforced window with a Venetian blind window treatment. (Clipping): "Hanna Named Hotel Manager. Elbert B. Hanna, 47, assistant manager and employee of the Blackstone Hotel for 13 years, Saturday was named manager, succeeding Howard Higby, who resigned Tuesday 'to take a rest' after 15 years at the helm. Hanna started his hotel career 27 years ago at the Binkley Hotel in Sherman. Later he worked for the Hotel Texas here, then Baker Hotel in Dallas and the Detroit-Leland Hotel in Detroit. Assistant managers under Hanna are W. C. Atans and A. D. Rials, who be in charge of the front desk." Published Star-Telegram Eve. Aug. 5, 1944.
