Description

Ensign Wendell Towery, graduated from the Midshipman's School at Columbia University, New York. He visited his parents, Reverend and Mrs. Roy R. Towery before going to Fort Pierce, Florida, for training in amphibious forces. He is a graduate of Paschal High School and was in the V-12 unit Texas Christian University (TCU). Towery is wearing his uniform in this half length portrait. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, July 13, 1944.
