Description
Ensign George Weatherbee who was a South Side sanitarian for the City Health Department before entering the Coast Guard in April 1942, looks upon his 13 months' overseas duty with the eyes of a public health worker. He is home on leave after receiving his commission as an engineering officer and is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Houston C. Weatherbee, of Route 2, Lake Worth. Weatherbee is in uniform and standing b a blank wall. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, June 14, 1944.
