    Description

    The grave of Major Ripley Arnold is a huge stone and painted on it is a simple epitaph "Maj. Ripley A. Arnold 1817-1853". Left to right: W. H. Thompson Junior, his great grandson; Mrs. W. H. Thompson Senior, his great granddaughter; Mrs. R. C. Rossington, daughter of the late Captain John Hannah; and kneeling, W. H. Thompson III, his great-great-grandson; and Mrs. E. P. Singleton, great-granddaughter of the frontier cavalryman. There are two floral arrangements by the gravestone. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, June 6, 1944.
