Description
Shown is a receiving yard for waste paper in front of the Pangburn Company. The company set up the yard in order to make collections from their employees and aid in getting in Fort Worth, Texas's May quota of paper. The yard sits on a patch of grass alongside the sidewalk and is partially constructed out of wooden planks. A sign in the center of it reads "Leave Waste Paper Here 'A Million Pounds In May'." Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 7, 1944.
