Description
Two contract carriers for the Star-Telegram and the Press recounted details of their abduction at Gainesville by two soldiers and of their subsequent trip to Kansas city at gun point. The pair, Cletis Roberts and Raymond Lester, truck drivers, are employed by W. C. Tripp to deliver papers and ice cream on various routes. In this picture, they are standing next to each other and wearing buttoned down shirts with pockets. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, evening edition, April 26, 1944.
