Description

Mr. and Mrs. W. Cleve Thompson, shown with a photograph of their son, Captain (Capt.) Hal Thompson. Separated by an ocean, six hours time and the exigencies of war from their son, the parents nevertheless celebrated his marriage in England. Wednesday morning with a breakfast made up of a piece of the wedding cake. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson are sitting next to each other on a sofa. In front of them is a round coffee table, with a coffee cup and saucer, a plate with dessert, and a clock. In the middle is a framed portrait of their son in uniform. Mrs. Thompson is wearing a dress with a short sleeve jacket that has lace on the cuffs. She is wearing a corsage, stud earrings and eyeglasses. Her hair is pulled back. Mr. Thompson is wearing a pin striped suit with shirt and tie; pen in left pocket. He is wearing glasses and holding a newspaper. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, April 12, 1944.
