Description
The American Red Cross Blood Donor Service mobile unit is visiting Henrietta, Texas to serve the surrounded Clay County communities. The unit is stationed outside First Methodist Church. Pictured here left to right, are Mrs. George B. Scaling and Mrs. J. W. Douthitt. Mrs. Douthitt, a receptionist with the Red Cross, is leading blood donors down the hall for examination. She is wearing a Red Cross uniform, eyeglasses and holding a purse. Mrs. Scaling is donating blood. She is wearing a button-up light color dress. Her husband Lieutenant (Lt.) George Scaling is with the Air Service Command in Italy. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, April 6, 1944.
