Description

The American Red Cross Blood Donor Service mobile unit is visiting Henrietta, Texas to serve the surrounded Clay County communities. The unit is stationed outside First Methodist Church. Pictured here left to right are Mrs. Rex M. Gates and C. E. Gill. Mrs. Gates, Henrietta, Texas, a Red Cross nurse, is taking the blood pressure and hemoglobin tests of Mr. Gill. She is wearing a nurses uniform. Mr. Gill is a farmer from Deer Creek, Texas. He has three sons fighting overseas. He is dressed in a button-up shirt. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, April 6, 1944.
