    Description

    The Fort Worth, Texas Red Cross Blood Donor mobile unit launched a series of out-of-town stands, to include Denton. Denton, Texas mayor, Lee Preston, first donor, bares his arm for Mrs. George C. Jones, staff nurse, center, while nurses' aid Dorothy Chambers of North Texas State Teachers College assists. Mayor Preston is sitting on an exam table. Nurse Jones and Miss Chambers are wearing their nurses' uniforms. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, April 4, 1944.
