    Description

    Four wounded veterans from McCloskey General Hospital are volunteers in the Fourth War Loan Drive. They are, left to right, Captain (Capt.) Joseph E. Southworth, Captain (Capt.) David C. Kelly Junior (Jr.), Private First Class (Pfc.) Hugh E. Rueter, and Private First Class (Pfc.) Hershel T. Calhoun. The men are all dressed in military uniforms. Captain Kelly is wearing a neck brace. Private Rueter's right arm is in a cast and sling. Private Calhoun's left leg is missing; he is walking with the aid of crutches. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 24, 1944.
