Private First Class Kenneth Fuqua, a Marine from Abilene, Texas, was awarded the Purple Heart. He was wounded last November at Tarawa in the Gilbert Islands. Private Fuqua is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Fuqua. He is pictured in his military uniform.
