Major Sam Palmer Junior is a five-plane ace in the Army Air Force. He is visiting his mother, Mrs. Sam Palmer Senior, in Fort Worth, Texas. Major Palmer spent seven-months of combat flying alongside General Clair Chennault, commander of the U. S. Army Air Forces in China, 1942-1945. Major Palmer is shown standing in front of patterned drapes, wearing an Army Air Force uniform. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, January 3, 1944.
