Doctor E. D. Head reading the Bible at his home at 2000 Broadus. Doctor Head is sitting at home on a chair reading his bible. He is the president of the Baptist Seminary. He taught at Baylor University as a Bible instructor until 1932 when he was called to the First Baptist Church at Houston, where he remained until his election as head of the seminary. In June of 1942, the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity was conferred at Baylor, and November 11, this year, he was named president of the Baptist General Convention of Texas. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, December 3, 1943.
