Lieutenant Colonel Cecil L. Faulkner, 27, with his wife, Fay, and his daughter, Wendy.Three people seated on a herringbone patterned upholstery couch, striped wallpaper behind them. Wendy is wearing a dark dress with a contrasting light colored yoke and 3/4 length sleeves, ornamented with a stylized flying bird on the yoke. She is wearing silk stockings. The toddler in her lap is wearing a dress with puff sleeves and a shirred bodice and a small lacy collar. She has on socks and light-colored baby shoes. Her mother is holding a gingham checked horse with a ribbon around it's neck next to the girl. Cecil is seated knee-to-knee with Wendy and the girl is leaning her arm on his lap - he looks enchanted. His uniform is a dark jacket with military ribbons, insignia, and wings. There are also wings with propellers on the lapels and a leaf-shape pinned on the jacket epaulet.
