Major Charles H. Giddings Jr., flying fortress pilot is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Giddings. Mrs. Giddings Jr. is the former Mary Lane Mosby, daughter of Mrs. C. K. Mosby. In the photograph, Major Giddings is standing in front of a bare wall and is wearing his military uniform . He has participated in combat and has flown for several missions. He received a Silver Star with Oak leaf cluster, the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with Oak leaf cluster. He also wears the 19th Bombardment Group's four-citation Blue Bar. In the background, there is a partial view of a door and its hinge.
