Practicing for Party: Texas Women's College (TWC), co-eds are practicing up on their cigarette-rolling for the "Western Trek" party to be given by the Women's Athletic Association for new girls on the campus at 8 pm. Wednesday in Sycamore Park where chuck wagon chow will be served. They are, left to right Camille Patterson, senior from Hubbard, and Emalee Hart and Merlene Ross, freshmen from Eastland. Three female students outdoors are in western wear and "saddled up" up on a wooden bench. Each one is holding a cigarette. Two of them (middle and right) are wearing cowboys hats. All are smiling. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, September 15, 1943.
