Description

The Colonial Country Club is adding to its war service record with the investment of $25,000 in war bonds. The club was unable to rebuild its fire-damaged clubhouse as planned due to a shortage in essential materials. Instead, members voted to invest part of the fire insurance funds in bonds. Pictured, left to right, are Berl E. Godfrey, Scott Teel, and E. G. Parker. Mr. Godfrey, president of the Colonial Country Club, is handing over the check. He is dressed in a suit. Mr. Teel is the club treasurer and witness to the transaction. He is wearing a houndstooth suit. Mr. Parker is vice chairman of the Tarrant County War Finance Committee. He is dressed in a dark suit.
