Right to left: Thomas Nathan (Pete) Norris, Jeanette Lyle of Houston, Texas, and Gene Paul Norris. The trio is shown standing in front of an empty wall, shoulder to shoulder. Thomas Nathan Norris is turned towards Miss Lyle, telling her to hold her cigarette where it won't show as they pose at the Police station. Norris's brother, Gene Paul, looks down while Miss Lyle looks to her left. The brothers are wearing long-sleeve, pocketed shirts and trousers and Miss Lyle is wearing a striped, thick coat with a patterned dress. T. N. Norris who was on the FBI's most wanted list, was captured about 12 miles southeast of Kennedale, after a chase by city detectives, FBI agents and Texas Ranger. The No. 1 'badman' was given 436 years for robbery and murder in Fort Bend, Richmond and Houston in 1936. He was plowing a field with his brother, Gene Paul Norris, 21, at the time of arrest. Jeanette Lyle, 16 is Gene Paul's girl friend. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, February 24, 1943.
