Thomas Nathan (Pete) Norris, 31, fugitive from the Texas Penitentiary is captured by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Norris is shown standing next to an unnamed man who is wearing a dark suit. Norris's right hand is being raised up as he stares into the camera. His shirt is unkept. Norris who was on the FBI's most wanted list, was captured about 12 miles southeast of Kennedale, after a chase by city detectives, FBI agents and Texas Ranger. The No. 1 'badman' was given 436 years for robbery and murder in Fort Bend, Richmond and Houston in 1936. He was plowing a field with his brother, Gene Paul Norris, 21, at the time of arrest. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 24, 1943.
