The 1943 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Standing beside the ring, left to right, are soldiers Manny Ortega and Tony Herra. Ortega is a sergeant in the Army Air Force. He is wearing athletic shorts. He is competing in the featherweight class, representing El Paso, Texas. Herra is also serving with the Army Air Force. He is dressed in his military uniform.
