The 1943 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Competing in the flyweight division, left to right, are Hector Marquez and Joe Johnson. Both fighters weigh in at 112 pounds. Marquez is representing El Paso, Texas. Johnson is representing Beaumont, Texas. Marquez has Johnson in a headlock and is adding a right hook. Marquez went on to win the bout.
