Description

The 1943 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Squaring off in the ring, left to right, are Dick Menchaca and Andrew Fenton. Menchaca, of Temple, Texas, is a two-time national champion of the bantamweight class. In the first round of the fight Wednesday night, Menchaca knocked out Fenton with an uppercut. Fenton is shown falling onto the canvas. Part of the audience can be seen in the background.
