Description
The 1943 Golden Gloves District Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Competing in the semi-finals of the welterweight division, left to right, are J. V. Nasche and Corporal Ray Benson. Benson is a corporal in the Marine Air Corps. He is on the receiving end on a left hand chop sting from Nasche. Despite the early struggles, Benson fought back and won the decision.
