Description
The 1943 Golden Gloves District Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Competing in the semi-finals of the welterweight division, left to right, are J. V. Nasche and Corporal Ray Benson. Benson is a corporal in the Marine Air Corps. He struggled in the early rounds but fought back late. Benson is shown connecting on a left jab to the side of Nasche's face. Benson went on to win the decision.
