Description

Boxers in the Fort Worth, Texas, area are preparing for the 1943 Golden Gloves District Tournament. The competition will be held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Among those competing in the tournament is Private First Class Michael McDermott, of the United States Marine Corps. McDermott is a welterweight from Utica, New York. He is currently serving at the Air Station at Eagle Mountain. McDermott is shown demonstrating his fighting stance. He is wearing a t-shirt and trousers.
