The Block Mothers is a local organization with 10,000 members. They are putting plans into motion to organize their neighborhoods before additional rationing programs go into effect. Leaders for the North Side, the largest area in the Fort Worth, Texas, are shown gathering around a table. The colonels, standing, left to right, are Mrs. Virgil Aston and Mrs. L. N. Million. Majors seated, left to right, are Mrs. R. D. Maloney, Mrs. Jeptha Craig, Mrs. Marvin Richardson, Mrs. Hugh Quinn, Mrs. Jerry W. Ralls, Mrs. J. E. Nelson and Mrs. Hugh N. Follin. Mrs. Aston is wearing a buttoned coat and a hat. Mrs. Million is wearing a dark dress, a hat and a fur scarf. Mrs. Maloney and Mrs. Craig are wearing blazers, blouses, skirts and hats. Mrs. Richardson is wearing a checkered coat and skirt. Mrs. Quinn is wearing a coat, hat, eyeglasses and a floral print dress. Mrs. Ralls is wearing a dress and a coat. Mrs. Nelson is wearing a dress and a fur coat. Mrs. Follin is wearing a hat, eyeglasses, a dark dress and a fur scarf.
