Description

One hundred ten present, but many absent as newsboys enjoyed their annual Thanksgiving dinner at the Elks Club. Fort Worth Star-Telegram publisher, Amon G. Carter was in London and missed the event. Shown is Thomas Ralls Van Noy, 11, eating a turkey drumstick. He's sitting at a table with a full plate of food in front of him. Several boys are sitting at a long rectangular table behind him, and one on his left. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 27, 1942.
