Description

One hundred ten present, but many absent as newsboys enjoyed their annual Thanksgiving turkey dinner at the Elks Club Thursday. Fort Worth Star-Telegram publisher, Amon G. Carter was in London and missed the event. Ivan Jarrell (left) and Walter Owens (right) were among the newsboys to get silver dollars passed out by Fain Reynolds, city circulation manager for the Star-Telegram, (standing at center). He passed the coins out at the end of the turkey dinner. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 27, 1942.
