Description

Riverside "old timers' Jubilee" Mrs. May M. Royster being served by George B. Eagle, city councilman. "Bottom, George B. Eagle, city councilman, serves Mrs. May M. Royster, who taught him in the old Riverside grade school nearly 30 years ago and who still is a teacher in the Riverside Elementary School". Mr. Eagle is located in the far left aspect of the photograph. He is wearing a light colored double breasted suit with peak lapels and dark shoes. His jacket is open with a white collared shirt underneath with a tie that has a diamond pattern on it. Mr. Eagle has glasses on and is leaned over slightly as he looks down at Mrs. Royster and hands her a plate of food. Mrs. Royster is located in the center of the photograph. She is wearing a dress with a swirled floral pattern and white swirled fabric lining the sleeve ends and the collar, and dark heels. Mrs. Royster is wearing black rimmed circular glasses with a chain hanging from the left side, and has a black purse sitting on the bench on her left. She is sitting down on a wooden bench and is smiling and looking up at Mr. Royster as she accepts the plate of food he is handing her with her left hand. In the far right aspect of the photograph another individual can be partially seen eating from a plate sitting on her lap. In the bench to the right of the bench Mrs. Royster is sitting on you can see another plate of food. In the background there are trees and shaded areas with individuals sitting on the ground in groups. A house can also be seen in the background.
