Description

Image shows Seventeenth and eighteenth century English manor houses provided the inspiration for the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley A. Thompson. The architecture is late Elizabethan and the interior and furnishings are eighteenth century, with adaptations. Family portraits are used as integral parts of the interior decoration. Four portraits of Mr. and Mrs. Thompson and their daughter, Mrs. Curtis Durham, and son, John Thompson, recently have been completed by Dr. Josef Stegall, Viennese artist. The frame, hand carved, and covered in gold leaf, is an eighteenth century English antique. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram Sunday edition April 28, 1940.
