    Description

A view of Army Day Celebration. Army equipment was of major interest to persons watching the 155th Infantry Regiment and smaller Camp Bowie units pitch camp around Farrington Field Saturday afternoon. Private (Pvt.) Grover Davis (left) and Corporal (Corp.) Odis Bowen, 142nd Field Artillerymen from Arkansas, swab out the bore of a 155-millimeter howitzer. They are working together to stuff a giant swab into the howitzer. Another Army member is standing there and watching them while one is behind the howitzer. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 5, 1942.
