Description
Early development for the new Taylor County pool two and one-half miles west of Merkel has been assured through various operations. Shown here is Ira Warren, tool dresser at the Jennings & Griffin No. 1 Tipton, west offset to the discovery. He is holding a bucket, pouring into a barrel that is elevated and resting on its side. Mr. Warren is wearing working clothes, hat and gloves. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, March 15, 1942.
