The 1942 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Competing in the ring is light-heavyweight Bill Anderson, left. He is representing Fort Worth Texas, in the tournament. Anderson, who has one of the best left hands in the game, is shown crouching in his fighter's stance. His opponent has his arms folded, shielding his face. A referee is standing behind them in the corner of the ring.
