Description

The 1942 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Presenting a trophy to a winner in the state tournament is Richard "Dick" Menchaca, of Allen Academy. He was the national bantamweight champion in 1940 and 1941. He is now serving in the army and is dressed in a military uniform.
