Description
The 1942 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Facing off in the lightweight division, left to right, are Morris Carona and Joseph McCrevey. Carona is a defensive specialist from Port Arthur, Texas. McCrevey is a Virginia native but is a soldier at Randolph Field near San Antonio, Texas. McCrevey is shown surrounding Carona in the scrap. Carona weaved away from the blow and went on to win the bout.
