    Description

The 1942 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to the opening fights, the boxers are being weighed and examined at the Golden Gloves Gymnasium in the Medical Arts Building. At the weigh-in scale, left to right, are Sully Montgomery, Tony Denham, and Dr. M. H. Crabb. Mr. Montgomery is the chief referee of the tournament. He is dressed in a double breasted pinstripe suit and is carrying his hat. Mr. Denham, of Munday, Texas, standing on the scale, happily dropped to 148-pounds to compete in the welterweight division. He made the weight after running and exercise. Dr. Crabb is one of the physicians on staff at the Golden Gloves. He is wearing a three-piece suit, lab coat, and a stethoscope around his neck.
