Description

The 1942 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. The judges and referees for the tournament are shown enjoying a dinner. On the front row, left to right, are K. N. Clapp, T. W. Waggoner, Dr. Eugene Brown, and Sully Montgomery. On the back row, standing, are Milton Coffey, W. R. Watt, Marshall Brown, and Ray Crowell. Mr. Clapp is a judge from Lubbock, Texas. He is dressed in a three piece suit. Mr. Waggoner, of LeFors, Texas, is a referee. He is wearing a suit with a handkerchief in the pocket. Dr. Brown, of Fort Worth, Texas, is chairman of the judges' committee. He is dressed in a double breasted suit. Mr. Montgomery, of Fort Worth, Texas, is chief of the referee staff. He is wearing a three-piece suit. Mr. Coffey of Fort Worth, Texas, is a referee. He is dressed in a double breasted pinstripe suit. Mr. Watt is a Fort Worth, Texas, judge. He is dressed in a three-piece suit. Mr. Brown of Dallas, Texas, is a judge. He is wearing a three-piece suit. Mr. Crowell is judge from Abilene, Texas. He is dressed in a pinstripe, three-piece suit. The program is arranged so that no judge or referee is active when a boxer from his district is in the ring.
