Description

The 1942 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Competing in the welterweight division, left to right, are Allen Fenton and Jessie Points. Fenton is a soldier with the 142nd Infantry of the 36th Division at Camp Bowie. He is representing Snyder, Texas. He is stumbling after a hard right hook from his opponent. Points, of Sherman, Texas, is representing the Denison, Texas district. He went on to win the close verdict.
