Description
The 1942 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Squaring off in the ring for the welterweight division, left to right, are Cecil Perry and Bill Bolton. Perry is representing his hometowns of Groesbeck, Texas and Mexia, Texas. He is shown popping his opponent with a left jab. Bolton is a solider at Camp Barkeley, but originally from Muskogee, Oklahoma. He is bending back from the force of Perry's punch. The referee is in the background watching the action. Perry went on to win the decision.
