Amateur boxers from all around the area are preparing for the 1942 Golden Gloves District Tournament in Fort Worth, Texas. James V. Nasche is one of the most polished amateur boxers in the state. He is training at the free Golden Glove gym, to compete in the welterweight division. Two of his brothers are also entered in the tournament: Lightweight Donald and Flyweight Salvador. James is shown throwing a right hook at a punching bag. He is wearing a sweatshirt, boxing trunks and boxing gloves.
