Description

The 1942 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Bantamweights from Camp Bowie and Camp Barkley are meeting in the ring, in front of the first-night crowd. They are, left to right, Alfred Flores and Loy Billy. Flores is shown in the third round, cringing after a right jab connected with his jaw. Blood is painting his upper lip like a mustache. Billy, of Camp Barkley, has his opponent on the ropes. He went on to win the fight on points.
