Amateur boxers from all around the area are preparing for the 1942 Golden Gloves District Tournament in Fort Worth, Texas. One of the challengers for the lightweight division is Robert Thresher (left). In 1941 he won the Class A district tournament for beginners. This year he will challenge for the Class AA title. He is shown standing in front of a fireplace next to two unidentified boxers. Thresher is dressed in a sweatshirt and trousers.
