Description
Amateur boxers from all around the area are preparing for the 1942 Golden Gloves District Tournament in Fort Worth, Texas. Sparring in the gymnasium, left to right, are Willie Desmond and Johnny Perales. Both men are members of the Texas Steel Company's team. Desmond will compete as a flyweight. Perales will fight either as a bantam or featherweight. They are both wearing boxing gloves and boxing trunks.
