Description
Amateur boxers from all around the area are preparing for the 1942 Golden Gloves District Tournament in Fort Worth, Texas. Preparing for the tournament are, left to right, Hugh Conde and Woodie Taylor. Mr. Conde is one of the foremost challengers for the vacant middleweight championship. In 1941 he lost the division to Andy Eagleton, who went on to win the state title. Mr. Taylor is an instructor at the Golden Gloves gym. He is dressed in a button-up shirt, necktie, and striped trousers. Mr. Taylor and Mr. Conde are shown inflating a punching bag.
