Description
J. P. Laneri, shown with tire he purchased for the Fort Worth Macaroni Company wholesale food distributors, the first new tire sold in Fort Worth, Texas since dealers' stocks were frozen by an Office of Price Administration order on December 10. Mr. Laneri is wearing a jacket, hat, and glasses and is holding the tire in front of him and smiling, looking through the hole. The tire was purchased with the first purchase certificate issued by the Tarrant County tire rationing board. He is standing beside a large truck. Star-Telegram Morning, January 7, 1942.
