Three hundred and seventeen soldiers ranked with the general at Camp Bowie Saturday as the all-Texas 36th Division marched in review as climax to its three days of training tests. The review was in honor of the winning soldiers in 55 contests which tried the military skills acquired by the division in its year of training. Only the enlisted men, the best from each regiment, competed in the various events. This photograph showing Infantry humbled by the 111th Quartermaster Corps -- Staff Sergeant Mickey Francis of Austin, Texas (center), Company B, 111th, won the manual of arms contest. Humbled are Sergeant C. G. Massey, left, and Sergeant John D. Faubion, right, both of Caldwell, Texas and both of Company E, 143rd Infantry. Staff Sergeant Francis is smiling and looking off into the distance, he is wearing a first place ribbon. Sergeant Massey and Sergeant Faubion are wearing second and third place ribbons and leaning on Staff Sergeant's shoulders. All are wearing military uniforms.
