    Description

Three hundred and seventeen soldiers ranked with the general at Camp Bowie Saturday as the all-Texas 36th Division marched in review as climax to its three days of training tests. The review was in honor of the winning soldiers in 55 contests which tried the military skills acquired by the division in its year of training. Only the enlisted men, the best from each regiment, competed in the various events. Here is the proudest marching regiment, the 111th Engineers. The regiment is marching down a dirt road, with the color guard leading the way. Fields are seen on either side, trees line the distant horizon. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 21, 1941.
