Description
Ed Lowe is the head coach of the Handley High School football team, a mentor to students, an instructor in mathematics, and the business manager of athletics. He is pictured sitting at his wood desk, in front of a chalkboard wearing his "teacher's hat". The chalkboard has writing on it and a page from a calendar in view (Dec. 10) and chalk and erasers in the tray. There are several math textbooks spread across the desk and Coach Lowe is reading from the book "Mathematics for Today". There is a tin of art supplies under one of the books. He is dressed in a three-piece suit with a light shirt, a patterned tie, and a breast pocket full of mechanical pens and pencils. He is wearing wire-rim eyeglasses and has a wrap of tape around the index finger of his left hand. "(Star-Telegram Photos by Tom Dillard.)" Published Star-Telegram Morn. Dec. 11, 1941.
